Sentence Structure Combining Practice
Instructions: Combine each pair of simple sentences into ONE compound or complex sentence. Use appropriate conjunctions (and, but, or, so, because, although, when, if, while, etc.) and correct punctuation.
1. The storm arrived suddenly. We had to cancel the cricket match.

Reminder: Compound sentences join two independent clauses with a conjunction (and, but, or, so). Complex sentences contain an independent clause and a dependent clause joined by subordinating conjunctions (because, although, when, if, while, etc.).
