The School Camp Adventure

Emma woke up early on Friday morning, excited about the Year 4 school camp. She checked her backpack one more time to make sure she had packed everything on the list. After a quick breakfast, her mum drove her to school.

When the bus arrived at camp, all the students rushed off to explore. Mrs Thompson, their teacher, gathered everyone together and explained the camp rules. Then the students were divided into cabin groups.

In the afternoon, Emma's group went on a nature walk through the bush. They spotted a tūī in the trees and even saw some fresh deer tracks on the muddy path. Back at camp, everyone helped prepare dinner over the campfire.

That evening, the whole group sat around the fire roasting marshmallows and singing songs. Mr Brown told a funny story about a kiwi that got lost in someone's tent. Finally, at nine o'clock, Mrs Thompson announced it was time for bed. Emma fell asleep quickly, tired but happy after her exciting day.
