📖 Read the story carefully:
Emma had been looking forward to the camping trip for weeks. On Friday afternoon, she carefully packed her backpack with a torch, sleeping bag, and her favourite book. Her dad loaded the tent and cooking equipment into the car boot.
They arrived at the campsite just before sunset. Together, they searched for the perfect spot near the lake but away from the noisy main area. It took them nearly an hour to set up the tent, as one of the poles kept slipping out of place.
Once the tent was secure, Emma's dad started a campfire whilst Emma gathered kindling from the nearby trees. They cooked sausages over the flames and told stories as the stars began to appear. Later, Emma heard strange rustling sounds outside the tent. Her heart raced until her dad shone his torch and discovered it was just a hedgehog snuffling through the leaves.
In the morning, Emma woke to the sound of ducks quacking on the lake. She unzipped the tent and watched the sunrise paint the sky pink and orange. It was the best camping trip she'd ever had.
